Groundswell Community Mural Project's 2009 Annual Art Auction Benefit

Affirmation Arts is excited to annouce that it will be hosting Groundswell Community Mural Project's 12th annual benefit art auction. This year, the benefit will take on October 29th, from 7pm-10pm with a 6pm-7pm VIP reception.

ABOUT GROUNDSWELL COMMUNITY MURAL PROJECT
Groundswell Community Mural Project is a Brooklyn, NY-based 501(c)3 founded in 1996 to brings together artists, youth, and community organizations to use art as a tool for social change. Our projects beautify neighborhoods, engage youth in societal and personal transformation, and give expression to ideas and perspectives that are under-represented in the public dialogue. Our work inspires youth, communities, and artists to take active ownership of their future and equips them with the tools necessary for social change through afterschool, in-school and summer jobs programs.
